Jan and Michael were celebrating a 50th wedding anniversary in the summer of 2022. A celebration video was in order and, thankfully, there was some 8mm film of Jan and Michael taken during their wedding reception that was in reasonably good shape.

I used the best parts of that short film for the beginning of the 3-minute video then augmented it with numerous photographs of their life together, emphasizing love family and adventure.

As the photographs comprised most of the video, I utilized effects on the photos, including panning, zooming, and creative transitions to give them a sense of movement. Due to the shortage of actual film or video to use in the production, I also utilized the 3D photo animation technique to make some of the photographs come alive with depth, panning, and motion.

I chose one of my favorite songs “We Have All The Time In The World” from 1969 by John Barry and Hal David with an amazing vocal by Louis Armstrong to accompany the video as it moves through 50 years of marriage and life for Jan & Michael.
